The Largest Slum In Africa, Kibera Slum

In Nairobi, Kenya, Kibera slum is the largest slum in Africa, the 3rd largest in the world.  People there struggle to live on less than $2 a day.  Unemployment rates are high, crime is rampant.  A girls' only chance out of this poverty is to complete her education, but having to miss 5 days of school every month makes that almost impossible.  There is no money for feminine hygiene.  The charity, Bold Faith Journey, based in Bend, Oregon, took 400 Freedom Kits to the schools they sponsor in Kibera in November, 2024, to help 400 girls HAVE A CHANCE to get their education and escape this poverty.  Here are photos from their journey:
